Greetings, dungeoneers, and welcome back to another Fur Quests update!

I realized that after my last public post, I only mentioned that I wouldn't be uploading an update that week, as I was getting ready to move out of my apartment. So, when will the next update be out? Probably around the start of May. I'd like to release it sooner, but there have already been some complications with the move, and I’m bracing myself for a few more before this is all said and done.

But it's nothing to worry about—just a lot to deal with at the moment. So, does this mean I’m taking a break from Fur Quests? Far from it. I’m using this time away from RPG Maker to really explore some areas I’ve only been able to dip my toes into until now.

Last time, I talked about my journey in finding a style for my 3D models that is simple, efficient, and easy to create. To do this, I experimented with my 3D model of Nagara until I got this result.

There’s definitely room for improvement, and I’m curious to see how she’d look with a more lively expression. But overall, I was pretty happy with the results. I mentioned in the last update that I was going to look into animation next, but I knew Nagara’s hair and clothing would be too difficult for me to handle at this stage. So, I created a new character to test with first.

This skeleton took me less than a week to finish using the process I learned while working on Nagara. That was really exciting because it proved that, with what I’ve learned so far, I can create entirely new creatures and characters in a relatively short time. I do want to improve my painting skills along the way, but even at this rough stage, he looks pretty decent at the intended size for the RPG… Although I should probably enlarge his hands and feet to make them more readable from a distance.

I’m still struggling to get him animated properly, but I already have so many thoughts and ideas for future characters. I even made a poll for our backers over on Patreon and SubscribeStar to decide which creature they'd like to see next. It’ll be a fun challenge to see how many character and creature concepts I can bring to life before I move into my new place.

Beyond me, though, things are steaming ahead as usual in the dungeon. Fae has finished two lovely illustrations that will be uploaded this Wednesday, and our talented environmental artist keeps creating stunning textures. I hope to do them justice one day with better architecture than this.
