Hello, dungeoneers, Pug here! Welcome back to another exciting Fur Quests update!

Lately, Fae and I have been playing around with adding collectibles to the game. We already have lore books, but in the future, we want to add more stuff, like unique armor armor and jewelry. 

To play around with this idea, we added a Librarian to the interior of Cliffshade, where the player can sell their books for gold and special favors from Lyra, the librarian. ;)

The idea was simple! But the execution? Not so much. We sat down and remade the system repeatedly, trying to figure out the best way to make the system engaging and immersive.

We wanted to give the player a handsome price for each book collected to incentivize finding them all. We also wanted Lyra to acknowledge some of the books you brought her through dialogue. Lastly, we wanted to let the player still have access to the lore books for people who enjoy reading about the world of Erathor. 

The best way of doing the latter is to add a dragon age codex submenu, and this is possible in Bakin, but far more complicated in RPG maker without extensive programming. So, after several books have been turned in to Lyra, the player will unlock a little gallery of books to enjoy the lore and illustrations after they've been donated.

It is not an ideal solution, but we've learned a lot working on this system, which will be invaluable to future collectibles, which luckily will be a lot simpler than this.

But we have a lot more planned in the days to come. This weekend, we will release a video of a special character for the game over on our Fansleypage, with more to come, including 2d illustration videos by Fae.
