Fur Quests Devlog 2024-11-23

Greetings, dungeoneers, and welcome back to a Fur Quests update!

I beg your pardon for the delay on this one. Beyond fixing some critical bugs, we’ve also re-added Nagara’s debt questline in this update. One thing we’re eager to do more of in the future is branching questlines with overarching consequences in the story. It’s a lot of work, but fortunately for me, I love exploring alternate scenarios. Unfortunately for me, branching narratives are a pain to work with in RPG Maker. Most engines lay out narrative events in simple, easy-to-follow nodes.

But RPG Maker? It shoves everything into blocks of text, which literally makes me feel sick if I stare at them for too long.

That’s why this quest was originally removed and why this update was delayed—even though I haven’t implemented all of the branches yet.

While Fae was away, I’ve been planning ways to expand the life-sim elements in Cliffshade. Nagara’s debt is now the prompt that encourages players to visit certain locations over time.

Many of you requested we bring the quest back, and now that Fae is back and hard at work on new illustrations, it seemed like the perfect time to reintroduce it into the game.

As always, I want to thank you for your patience and support. I know things have been a bit slow lately with Fae away, but now that she’s back, we’re diving into creating brand-new scenes. In fact, she’s already finished one of Tera that will be available next week on Wednesday over at Patreon and Subscribestar. I’ll see you then!

Yeah i know, i have many friends, (me too) that stopped using rpg maker and changed with something else, for example i love godot it does far more than rpg maker but is so much simpler and better

Yeah it says a lot when the program designed to make games without coding, drives people to code out of frustration. XD

So at least it got that going for it!

my fav game got interrupted because the devs got tired of rpg Maker, magical camp i will alwais miss you

I just hope they moved over to better things.

They didn't they putted the game on hiatus for a year and than said they would stop, and the game lasted a lot, i played It for 20 hours
