Fur Quests Devlog 2023-08-31



Greetings, dungeoneers, Pug here! Back with another exciting Fur Quest update.

We got a lot of lovely feedback over the last update, and we've ironed out a few bugs and a few programming oversights.

We also finally got the library system working. It is quite different from what we originally envisioned, but hey, that is all part of working at a prototype. You only know how to do things right once you know how to do something wrong.

It is rather sparse at the moment, but we have big plans for it in the future, and Lyra, the librarian.

But we still have plenty to do before we get to that. For now, we added another illustration to the tavern scene with Cassia available to our backers.

We had a bit more planned for this build. The largest issue we've encountered since the last update is the audio balance with the new voice barks. We lowered the music volume across the game, but the sound effects from spells and attacks are louder than they should be.

Our best solution to this problem is restoring the music to its previous volume and increasing the volume of the sound barks. We want to ensure that if we do this, we don't degrade the audio quality. Considering that every bark was taken raw from their recording if anything, this is a chance to make them better.

The problem here is that no one in the dungeon is an audio engineer. But we are doing our best to ensure that Fur Quests turns out to be the best game it can be.
