Fur Quests Devlog 2022-12-21

Hello Dungeoneers, and welcome back to another update from the Pug Dungeon!

Today, we revisit our old areas to refine some of our earlier scenes. Since we've never worked on a game before Fur Quests, we've learned a lot as we went along. What worked, and what didn't. What we could do, but RPG maker couldn't.

So there are a lot of scenes that were made to test something out which doesn't quite mesh with later scenes.

The most notable one was an earlier one in the cave with Morrigan, which was still written in first person. The idea there was to make the player feel a bit more immersed in the scene.

But that felt more suited for a blank slate of a character, rather than a preset one like Septim Supreme.

We also added nametags to everyone, which we've been holding off on because it took hours of writing down Tera, Celine, Morrigan, and Septim for hours on end.

We may have missed a few, and we know we slipped up here and there. But we'll fix that up as we go along.

We also found a few game-breaking glitches, which we've hopefully sorted out by now. But if you encounter any, we would appreciate it if you let us know.

We have a lot of fun things in store for future updates, but for more information about that and behind the scene peeks and previews, check us out over at Patreon and Subscribestar .

Every single dime you donate goes directly back into the game to make Fur Quests into the best game it can possibly be, something that wouldn't be possible without our generous backers.

A blank slate would honestly be better then Septim, even the typical hooded guy whould have been an upgrade. Also how many more player oriented scenes have you added?

There certainly are advantages to both approaches.
And we'll be playing around with the idea some more as we move into Bakin.

As for player orientated scenes there are a few. But at the moment our focus has been on the character sprites.

Sorry about the delayed response. I don't seem to get notified about comments it seems so I'll have to keep an eye out on that in the future.
