Heya !
First of all, I'm glad to get back here for some weekly Fur Quests x3
I've some feedbacks to give ! So,
I found that the animation of all doors in Richard Brandon's farm dosn't work, contrary to Kara's one for exemple.
By the way, some npc's talk about things taking place at night, does that means there will be a Day/Night cycle ?
Now that I found equipment's shop, I found that the Violet Vigor can be sell for 999 Silver, I don't know if it's normal so I place it here.
As for the weapons, I see some can't be wield by anyone in the party, like the axes, is it because they arn't fully implemented to the game or is it because there will be more playable characters ?
I found that the game felt more alive thanks to the new npc's, it's minor but it's a good start ^^
And thanks for the clear path to the grove, I didn't really think I would made it so clear but it sure helps !
Now for the "big" bug I found. Before lunching the game with the update, I move the "save" file from the old to the new version, to see if I could load my old saves. I first make a new game just to be sure the update works fine and it did. But when I load one of my old save, I found a bug instantly : My save load me just before giving the berries to Kara, and one the top left of the screen, out of bounds, was the old man of Kara (I forgot his name, sorry). He was just standing there, MENACINGLY XD
No seriously, he was really out of bounds in the void not moving. Once I give Kara's berries and finished her quest, everything was back to normal.
The other old saves works just fine by the way.
Here's what I found for now ! Sorry again dor the long feedbacks, I hope it helps ! :D
Hello There! ^^
Yes I began reworking the doors, and must have missed that one. Which is funny cause I know some of the ones that have the (incomplete) notice on has them working.
And there is plans for a night cycle, but it might not be implemented for some time as it would have characters acting/saying unique things depending on the time. It will also allow you to do thief activities, like the lockpicking which you can see in the trailer (still working out the bugs on that one) and stealing valuables.
That is why you can find so many valuables around peoples houses completely unguarded. So enjoy looting without consequences while you can. ;)
Yes Violet Vigor goes for that price at the moment. All I am not overly fussed about the item scaling and prices at the moment as it is going to be radically different through out development. I think my dream goal would be to have items balanced closely to Disco Elysium. Where I personally felt, that the game always had the perfect balance between giving you what you wanted, but never so much that you could be reckless with it.
I played through legend of opala 2 a while back to get familiar with what RPG maker, and that was definitely a game that let you have too many items. At the end I didn't even use heals on my healer. Instead he was the guy who was throwing out full party heal items every turn. XD
And a lot of those items are remnants of the Visustella template Fur Quest is build on top of. I put them in there for players to fool around with a bit if they wanted, while I continue to expand on the writing and characters. There are more characters planned for the future, but I will clean up the shop a bit when it becomes a priority.
As for the grove. XD
Yes I know you said you didn't want to be lead by the nose either, but as I was saying back then, there really isn't any reason why the grove would be hidden, if it use to be a place of worship.
Quest is pretty straight forward now, with additional exploration being entirely optional. Started work on a few additional encounters in the forest, but they need more work before they're ready.
Not sure what to do about the saved games though sadly. XD
Maybe give people a hearthstone to take them back to safety would help a little.
Thanks for the answers, now I understand pretty much everything ^^
Talking about healer, there isn't any member of the team that have any type of heal (exepte Celine but it's not really a healing spell), so I ive that role to Septim by giving potions to the others while they do the dps xD
About the grove xD I understand, I'll not complain anymore about it don't worry. Besides, in the end the path isn't really that hard once you know it, but the optionnal boss really caugh me off guard ! It was a real challenge, wich was awsome ! I have to use the ultimate spell of Morrigan to get rid of ot, it was epic, don't change it :D
About the "OoB old man bug" as I like to call it xD It didn't do anything more than just show the old man of Kara out of bounds, so of course it's a bug and it has to be settled, but it can be done later, it's not a major bug at all.
In the end it's a solid and encouraging update, and I more than excited to see what will contain the next one ^^
